American relationship expert, Keyaira Kelly, speaks on the conflict of cheating while still in love with your partner

When American journalist, talk show presenter and relationships coach, Keyaira Kelly, flew into Nigeria for some days of holidaying and exploration, she hadn’t really known what to expect.
Invited over by her friend, KC, a Nigerian events planner and coordinator based in New York, she had tagged along with an open mind, the intention to have a full, rich experience and a desire to connect with her African roots as much as possible.
And that was what she did.
Beginning with a mini-tour of Abuja's scenery and its nightlife, and then a trip to the East, where she joined her friend and her family for an event that acquainted her a little more with Nigerian culture and traditions.
When she finally arrived in the bubbling, fast-paced economic hub that is Lagos, Pulse connected with the prolific writer who has works published on Madamenoire, Hello Beautiful and a host of other media outfits promoting Black culture in the US.

Keyaira took us through her experiences in Nigeria, stating that it was an eye-opener of sorts, seeing again that the African continent isn’t really what the mainstream western media often portrays it as. She said she “loved the vibes [of] seeing so many black people,” being in the same space with so many people with whom she has a common heritage.

Zamfara APC crisis: Governor-elect, others head for Supreme Court, write INEC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, its governor-elect, and other winners of the 2019 general elections on the platform of the party, have resolved to approach the Supreme Court for a final resolution of the crisis that engulfed the party in the state.
The party has also written to the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to notify him about the judgment of the Court of Appeal delivered on March 25, 2019.
In a letter dated March 26, 2019, written on behalf of the governor-elect and 38 others by their counsel, Magaji Abubakar Mahmmud (SAN), the APC members said the Appeal Court judgment only allowed the appellant’s appeal and set aside the judgment of the trial Court, but did not “make any positive consequential order.”
A factional leader of the party in the state, Senator Kabir Marafa, had at the Court of Appeal challenged the judgment of a Zamfara State High Court, which gave the APC the go-ahead to field candidates during the 2019 polls.
However, after the judgment of the appellate Court, there were reports that the Court nullified the APC primaries, which produced the candidates for the just-concluded elections in the State.
But in his letter to the Chairman of the INEC, the counsel to the APC said, the Court of Appeal did not make such an order in its judgment.
The lawyer said: “Our attention has also been drawn by our client to a letter written by Counsel to the Appellants (Marafa and 140 Ors) Mr. Mike Ozekhome (SAN) dated March 25, 2019 wherein he stated that, “there is absolutely no legal basis for any of the APC candidates that allegedly emerged victorious from the said sham elections to be issued with any certificate of return.
“Assuming without conceding that the judgment of the Court of Appeal had a positive order, the Court of Appeal is not the final court of law in respect of the subject matter.”
While noting that his client reserved the right of appeal on the said subject matter to the Supreme Court, Mahmud noted that his clients “have taken positive steps towards exercising their constitutional right of appeal to the Supreme Court.”
The counsel, however, faulted INEC’s decision to withhold the APC candidates’ certificates of return on the ground of a letter written to the Commission by counsel to the appellants.
He said: It is a bad practice for Counsel to resort to letter writing, thus misleading a responsible organization like the INEC by twisting facts.”
He further stated: “We wish to state that issues of law of this nature are regulated by an order of court or court of law and not by opinion of counsel via a mere letter from chambers. May we further emphasise that in the entire judgment of the Court of Appeal, there was neither a positive order made against our clients nor in favour of the appellants.
“Thus, it will be wrong of the commission to rely on the mere speculative letter of the appellants’ counsel at this stage when elections have already been concluded and winners have emerged. The only institution that is empowered to make a positive order in respect of this subject matter is the court of law, and no court of law has made or given an order to that effect.”
Quoting section 235 (3) of the 1999 Constitution as amended, the lawyer stressed that an aggrieved party has right of appeal to the Supreme Court and no court or any person can take away such right by mere letter.
“We urge you and the entire Commission to discountenance the letter written by Ozekhome (SAN),” he said, arguing that the provisions of section 285 (13) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) supported the judgment.

How PDP Chairman In Ondo Loaded N500 Million In Hilux Vehicles Just Days To The 2015 Elections

According to Passion News, the money laundering trial of the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Clement Faboyede, began on Friday with the first prosecution witness narrating to the court how the politician allegedly took delivery of a cash sum of N500m some days to the 2015 general elections.
Faboyede, alongside the Ondo State Coordinator of President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation in 2015, Modupe Adetokunbo, is facing three counts of money laundering before the Federal High Court in Lagos.
They were arraigned in June 2018 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The trial opened on Friday with the manager of a branch of Fidelity Bank in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Michael Owolanke, testifying against the defendants.
Led in evidence by the EFCC lawyer, Ekene Iheanacho, Owolanke told the court that on the instructions of one of his superiors he released N500m to Faboyede and Adetokunbo on March 27, 2015 on the bank premises.
He said, “When the defendants came (to the bank), I put a call back to Martin, telling him that Engineer Faboyede and Mr Modupe Adetokunbo were around to pick up the cash.
“He (Martin) said I should go ahead (to pay them). I got their means of identification and prepared a receipt for them to acknowledge that the money had been handed over to them intact.
“I took them to where the money was kept at the bullion bay; they confirmed the sum of N500m packed in Ghana-must-go bags and evacuated the money into two Hilux vehicles and drove away.”
Through the witness, the prosecutor tendered the defendants’ means of identification submitted to the bank and the receipt issued for the N500m payment as exhibits and the court admitted same in evidence against the defendants.
Responding to further questions from the prosecutor, the witness said the receipt issued to the defendants for the payment of N500m did not have the logo of the bank.
Asked why this was so, Owolanke said, “For the purpose of this transaction, there is no logo of the bank on the receipt because they (the defendants) are not customers of the bank.”
He added that the N500m payment was not documented and could not be found in the record of the bank.
Justice Saliu Saidu adjourned the case till April 4 for continuation of trial.
But Faboyede and Adetokunbo have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Guardiola: Raheem was right to express himself

Image result for Premier League bosses Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp & Maurizio Sarri want more action on racism

The issue of how football should tackle racism was one of the main talking points as Premier League managers faced the media before this weekend's matches.
It comes after England players - including City's Raheem Sterling, Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tottenham's Rose - were targeted by during the Euro 2020 qualifier in Montenegro.
After Sterling scored England's fifth goal in the 5-1 win, he celebrated by putting his hands to his ears and later said the gesture was a response to the racist abuse.
England manager Gareth Southgate said he heard abuse directed at his players and the incidents were reported to Uefa, which has charged Montenegro with racist behaviour.
"The situation only changes when you do something. When you do nothing it just stays the same," Guardiola, 48, said.
"That is why when people like Raheem expressed what he did it is better for our society."
"Football is a strong weapon to defend the principles of humanity," he added.
Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti said his team asked three times for their match at Inter Milan in January to be suspended because of alleged racist chanting.
In January 2013, AC Milan player Kevin-Prince Boateng sparked a walk-off because of racist chants in a friendly between his team and Italian lower division club Pro Patria.

Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have led a number of Premier League managers in saying they would be prepared to take their players off the pitch in a bid to combat racist abuse.
Manchester City boss Guardiola believes racism is "getting worse" in Europe.
Liverpool's Klopp says football "has to do everything" to prevent racism, while Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino said "no-one deserves to be abused".
"If that happens, I am the first to say, 'Stop, we are not going to play'".
Spurs defender Danny Rose was among the England players to report hearing monkey chants during England's 5-1 win over Montenegro on Monday.
Pochettino added: "There is nothing more important in this life than to protect the values and principles and no-one can abuse. The most important thing is that you cannot make someone feel and treat them like that."
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock said punishment has to be more severe than it is now, suggesting teams whose fans were responsible for racist chanting could be kicked out of a tournament, while Chelsea's Maurizio Sarri suggests a 10-minute break in the first instance.
